Our Vision

The Merseyside Women of the Year (MWOTY) awards encourage people across Merseyside and the Liverpool City Region (LCR) to celebrate the achievements of all women, from established female leaders to unsung heroines. Through the support of the MWOTY Family, we empower these women to reach higher, grow in confidence and achieve more.

Our Mission

We shine a spotlight on women making a difference in Merseyside and the LCR. We provide a platform for them to be celebrated and from which their cause can be elevated, and we create a legacy for future generations of women from the region and beyond.

Our Values

Our five MWOTY values are at the heart of everything that we do. We live by them and expect our finalists, winners, partners, volunteers and supporters to embody them too.

Merit – We take inspiration from who you are and are motivated by what you have achieved. We believe in praising and highlighting your achievements.
Women – We are absolutely committed to you as a woman and are proud to be able to showcase and support you.
Openness – Everything we do is open and transparent. We work with respect, integrity and fairness. We are accountable and take responsibility for our actions.
Teamwork – We work closely with and value our Finalists, Nominees, Sponsors, Supporters and Volunteers as one team – the “MWOTY Family”. We celebrate diversity and equality in everything we do.
